Most accounts settle into a rhythm within a month and stop thinking about it entirely.

Property managers usually run a mixed programme: a standing box at the biggest building, plus one-off drops for turnovers. Those turnover jobs are really residential work at commercial pace, and we price them as part of the account rather than as strangers off the street.
Access, trading hours and the service yard
Half of commercial work is logistics. A downtown restaurant with a shared rear alley, a strip retail unit where the container has to sit in three parking spaces, an office block where the only clear window is before seven in the morning — these are solvable, but only if we know before the truck is loaded. Send us a photo of the intended spot. It saves more time than any conversation.
The truck needs roughly 60 feet of straight approach and about 23 feet overhead, which rules out most covered service bays and a fair number of parking decks. Where the yard is genuinely too tight, the answer is often a smaller container swapped more often rather than a big one that never fits. A 20 yard box covers an enormous amount of commercial waste in a footprint most yards can actually give up.
Waterfront, marine and industrial work
New Bedford is a working port, and the waste stream reflects it. Net and gear, packaging from processing, pallets, shop clearances, fit-out debris from a vessel refit. Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our landlord?
Yes, and we would rather do it before the first delivery than after somebody in building management notices. Send the certificate holder details and any additional insured wording your lease requires when you set the account up. We are licensed and insured, and issuing a COI to a managing agent or property owner is routine paperwork on our end, not a special request.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. A standing account with us is a schedule, not a lock-in. You agree a swap day, we hold it, and if the volume changes you change the size or the frequency. Businesses that arrive from a national hauler are usually most relieved about this part. If you want a one-off container for a single project instead, that is a phone call and nothing more.
Our alley is tight. Will your truck fit?
Send a photo before you book and we will tell you straight. The truck needs about 60 feet of straight approach to set and pull a container and roughly 23 feet of overhead clearance, which covered bays and low fire escapes often eat into. Where a yard genuinely cannot take a big box, a smaller container swapped more often almost always beats forcing the wrong size in.
Can you swap outside our trading hours?
Often, yes. Early morning before opening is the most common arrangement for restaurants and downtown retail, because the alley is empty and nobody is parked across the pull line. Tell us the window that works and we will build the route around it where we can. What we will not do is promise a slot we cannot hold and leave you waiting on a delivery.
What happens if we go over the tonnage allowance?
You are told the allowance when you book and the overage basis at the same time, so it is never a surprise line on an invoice. Commercial loads that run heavy are usually heavy for a reason — wet cardboard, food waste, a load with rubble mixed in. If that is a pattern, we would rather restructure the service than keep billing you for it.
