Half suburb, half country. The southern end along Ocean Grove and the Cole River is old shore cottage territory, much of it converted to year-round living on small sandy lots with flood exposure. Move north and the lots grow into semi-rural properties, farmland and larger newer houses. The commercial spine runs along Route 6 and the area around the old Swansea Mall. Housing spans everything from pre-war cottages to 1990s colonials, so on any given week we are hauling plaster from one job and vinyl siding from the next.
Shore cottage upgrades keep the south end busy, with old panelling, windows and insulation coming out as places get winterized, plus storm repair after a bad nor'easter pushes water up the Cole River. North of Route 6 it is roofing, siding, additions and the occasional barn. Commercial turnover along the highway corridor produces fit-out debris, shelving and flat-roof tear-offs on a contractor's schedule rather than a homeowner's.
Getting to Swansea
Straight out I-195 west past Fall River and off at the Swansea exits, about thirty-five minutes from the yard. Route 6 carries us east to west across the town and Route 118 handles the north-south runs. Ocean Grove and the shore streets we reach from Route 6 down Milford Road and the beach roads. It is far enough that we batch Swansea deliveries into the same run where we can.

Do you actually service this far west, near the Rhode Island border?
We do, all the way to the state line. Swansea is at the outer edge of our regular area, so a day or two of notice gets you a better slot than a same-day call, and we tend to group deliveries and pickups out here into one run. Pricing reflects the distance honestly rather than surprising you later, and we will quote it before anything is booked.
Are the Ocean Grove cottage streets a problem for a roll-off truck?
They need a smaller box. The streets down by the beach are narrow with short driveways and sandy shoulders that will not carry a loaded truck, so we bring a 10 or 15 yard and stay on the pavement. If the water has been up recently we will look at the ground before committing. Swapping a small container twice is far better than a recovery job in the sand.
Can you set up a container for a commercial fit-out on Route 6?
Yes. Retail and restaurant turnover along that corridor is regular work for us, usually a 30 yard on the lot with scheduled swaps while the demo crew runs. Shelving, fixtures, ceiling grid and flat-roof material all go in the mixed box, while metal and any clean gypsum come out separately. We will work to your after-hours window if the store is still trading.
How much notice do you need for a pickup out here?
A day is ideal, especially if you want it gone before a weekend. Because Swansea is thirty-five minutes each way, pickups get built into a planned run rather than handled as a one-off trip. If your container is full earlier than expected, call and we will fit it in where we can, but a little warning gets you a reliable time.
