Dumpster Rental Lakeville MA

Water shapes Lakeville more than roads do. Assawompset and Long Pond supply drinking water to this whole part of the region, and the protection that comes with that affects where a container can sit on plenty of properties. Add bogs, woods and long private drives and you have most of our work here.

Roll-off containers for Lakeville homes and businesses

Rural-residential with serious acreage. Houses sit back from the road on wooded lots, often at the end of a gravel drive, with septic systems and wells and a shed or barn out back. The pond shores around Clark Shores and Betty's Neck have older camps and cottages that keep being expanded into year-round homes, while newer colonials fill in along the main roads. Cranberry bogs and conservation land take up a good share of the town, and the watershed rules around the ponds are stricter than most people expect.

Camp-to-house conversions around the ponds are steady work, producing old framing, panelling, windows and the odd forgotten septic component. Deck rebuilds and roof replacements come with the wooded lots and the trees over them. Bog operations clear out pipe, pumps and pallets. Estate and barn cleanouts run long here, and the distance from the pond edge is usually the first thing we settle before we talk about size.

Answers

Dumpster rental in Lakeville — FAQs

Are there rules about working close to the ponds?

Yes, and they are taken seriously because Assawompset and Long Pond are a public water supply. Watershed protection and wetland setbacks limit what can happen near the shore, and that includes where a heavy container sits. We keep boxes on driveways or firm ground well back from the water, and if your project already has a conservation order of conditions we will follow the staging it sets out.

Can you deliver to a house at the end of a long private way?

Most of the time. What we need is a surface that carries weight, about 12 feet of width, 14 feet of overhead clearance and somewhere to turn at the end. Lakeville private ways are often shared and maintained by the abutters, so soft edges and low limbs are common. Tell us what the last quarter mile looks like and we will tell you straight whether we can make it.

What size works for turning a pond camp into a year-round house?

A 20 yard covers most of these. You are pulling out panelling, old insulation, single-pane windows, light framing and floor covering, which is bulky rather than heavy. If a foundation goes in or a chimney comes out, the masonry needs its own container because concrete and brick are banned from disposal and priced by weight. We will split it into two if that is the cheaper route.

Do you take equipment and materials off a working bog?

We do, with the container placed on firm ground rather than on a bog road or dike, which will not hold a loaded truck. Pipe, pumps and irrigation fittings are largely metal and go for recycling instead of disposal, so keeping them in their own pile is worth doing. Pallets and clean wood are handled separately again. Tell us the mix and we will bring the right combination.
